Survey Gives Abbey Top Rating
"We commissioned the survey because we needed to reappraise what our customers considered to be important," said
managing director Mark Shaw.
"In today’s constantly changing markets, we need to be aware of our customers changing demands and be able to
fine-tune our continuous improvement programmes to make sure that those demands are met.
"Overall we were encouraged by the results and some of the improvements we have in hand will enhance our service
capability even further, including the development of a navigational tracking system and a new integrated computer
system for our transport fleet. The survey also confirms our belief that Abbey is the UK’s leading sheetfeeder."
The survey was conducted across a range of board users including carton manufacturers, display merchants and printers,
traditional sheetplants and volume sheetplants
Abbey intends to make a synopsis of the survey results available to customers
A follow-up survey is planned in six months time
In a customer survey carried out for Abbey Corrugated and Abbey Board, it was found that the quality of the board
produced by the companies in terms of runnability and performance was consistently rated higher than that produced
by their competitors.
